Pre-launch checklist (18 items)
The checks to run before sending the first real customer to the WooshPayment checkout. Bookmark the page and tick them all off.
3 min read
TLDR: before enabling checkout in production, tick the 18 items below. The checklist follows a logical order: account โ branding โ payments โ store integration โ marketing โ smoke test โ launch.
Account & domain
- 1. Email verified โ you must click the email link before starting onboarding. Verification confirms that password resets, notifications and operational messages actually reach the merchant.
- 2. Strong password saved in a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden).
- 3. Checkout slug verified โ the
{yourslug}.wooshpayment.comsubdomain is generated at signup. If you regenerate it from Dashboard โ Settings, do it before launch and re-check Apple Pay/custom domain. - 4. (Optional) Custom domain mapped โ
checkout.yourstore.comwith fixedcheckout.prefix. Available to all merchants without plan gating. See Custom domain.
Branding & checkout
- 5. Logo URL configured โ Dashboard โ Checkout โ Appearance. Use a public HTTPS link to PNG/SVG/JPG; if you do not have a logo yet, leave the store name.
- 6. Checkout colors verified โ brand color + secondary color in hex format (e.g.
#FF6B35) with readable contrast on the button. - 7. Checkout language set โ leave "Auto" to detect the customer language, or force one language from the Checkout page.
- 8. Trust badges, banner and reviews checked โ enable only real content. Phone stays required and should not be disabled.
Payments
- 9. Payment method active โ connect Whop with Administrator/Owner role, Product ID and webhook secret if you want cards and wallets; or enable Cash on Delivery if you are launching COD-only. See Whop setup.
- 10. Apple Pay verified โ only if you use Whop/wallets: check in the Whop dashboard that the
{slug}.wooshpayment.comdomain (orcheckout.yourstore.comif active) is among the registered domains. See Apple Pay setup. - 11. (Optional) Cash on Delivery (COD) active โ useful in IT/ES/RO/PL. See Cash on Delivery.
Store integration
- 12. Shopify/WooCommerce connected โ see Shopify integration or WooCommerce integration.
- 13. Checkout interceptor verified โ on Shopify the ScriptTag is installed at the OAuth callback, but it must be validated from the real cart on the live theme; on WooCommerce the official plugin must be active. Open your store, click "Checkout / Proceed to checkout" and verify that it redirects to your WooshPayment subdomain. If Shopify does not redirect, do not send traffic: see Script tag debug or request support/app embed validation; if Woo does not redirect, check Settings โ WooshPayment in WordPress.
- 14. Shipping configured both in WooshPayment and in the Shopify/Woo panel. Without rates the checkout shows "No method available".
- 15. Taxes/VAT verified in your store backend for your country.
Marketing & analytics
- 16. Pixel/CAPI active if you use them โ GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, TikTok. See Marketing pixels. Test the
Purchaseevent with a pilot order.
Final smoke test
- 17. Real pilot order โ for Whop use โฌ0.50 or the minimum allowed amount, for COD use a clearly recognizable internal order. Buy from your store and verify:
- Order created in Shopify/Woo with status
paidfor Whop orpending/unpaidfor COD - Session marked
COMPLETEDin WooshPayment โ Orders - Merchant notification received (also check Spam the first time)
- Server-side pixel/CAPI events fired (Meta Events Manager, TikTok Events, GA4 DebugView)
- Order created in Shopify/Woo with status
- 18. Real iPhone mobile test (not simulator). If you use Apple Pay, verify it opens; in every case iCloud autofill works and no field is hidden by the keyboard. 70% of checkout traffic is mobile.
After launch
- Dashboard โ Orders every day for the first week
- Dashboard โ Integrations โ verify Whop stays "Ready" (API key, Product ID, webhook secret), WooCommerce is connected and the latest checkout was intercepted; for Shopify verify Dashboard โ Settings and Script tag debug
- Refund: for now refunds are issued from the Whop dashboard. See Refund flow for the correct procedure that keeps state in sync.
